What’s the difference between Woof Art’s portraits and the other portrait companies out there?

The biggest and most important difference is Woof Art’s Portraits are done by West Hollywood Artist Guillermo Borrajo, and not by a regular graphic designer, at the very best.
Guillermo Borrajo is an established, and very well-known fine artist; his work have been shown in Galleries in Los Angeles,Washington DC, New York and his native Buenos Aires.
He also counts with a large celebrity’s clientele. To learn more view his bio.

How are the portraits done?

The "Cartoon," Pop Art" and "Pop Art Realistic" styles are drawn and painted completely by hand, and then loaded onto the computer to be transferred onto fine art canvas (Giclee on canvas).

The "Warhol" and "Masterpiece" styles are created through a lengthy process that includes restoring and adjusting the photo, improving the resolution, cleaning the background, and isolating the subjects. We enhance the essence of the subject until it becomes artistic, but still readable; we add and arrange colors until the silkscreen mood is achieved (in the case of "Warhol"). We will also superimpose and transform the photo until the subject matches the old painting look completely (in the case of the "Masterpiece"). Then the design is transferred onto fine art canvas (Giclee on canvas).

If you have your own favorite "Masterpiece," you can send us you pet's photo(s) along with a photo of your masterpiece to us and we will contact you with a quote.

Giclees on Canvas are guaranteed to last over 100 years before any noticeable fading occurs.

What’s the difference between the 5 portrait styles?

"Masterpiece": This aristocratic style incorporates your pet into the Masterpiece of your choice, maintaining the feeling of antiqueness and realism, as if they were both created together, many centuries ago.

"Warhol": This particular style makes the portrait of your pet, or loved one, a "classic", a piece of art that will never be démodé. This style keeps the likeness of the subject, without loosing the subtraction and silk-screened feeling, that made Andy Warhol’s works so unique and distinctive.

"Cartoon": This joyful style incorporates your pet into any of the Cartoon’s background created by the artist Guillermo Borrajo, and at the same time captures his/hers soul on the canvas in a very unique and colorful way.

"Pop Art": (Up to 5 grades of shadows) This modern style makes a very balanced piece of art, where the struggle between capturing the soul and likeness of the subject is impeccably resolved while maintaining the amount of detail to a certain level.

"Pop Art Realistic": (Unlimited grade of shadows and detail) This sophisticated style brings to the portrait a palette with a wide variety of possibilities, allowing the artist to capture, with no limitations, the essence of the subject.

Can I change my photo(s) after I have submitted them to you?
Yes you can.
If you want to change the photo(s) that you already submitted, and we have not yet started to work on your proof, you may change them at no additional charge. But if we’ve already started to work on your original photo(s), and then you submit another photo or photos, we’ll have to start the design process again, which will generate an additional charge, depending on the complexity of the design style of your project.
Please contact us to discuss your changes.
If you decide to change the design style of your portrait, after we started to work on your original photo(s), the same policy will hold true.
If we have already transferred your original design onto canvas, or any of our other products, we unfortunately cannot grant this request or provide any refunds.
